What Can MI Inspect?

In steel – Cracking, laminations, blisters, wall loss due to corrosion or erosion, porosity

In clad components – as steel, with the addition of disbanding of cladding and cracking at the cladding interface

In welds – all common weld defects; cracking, lack of fusion, slag inclusions, porosity, incomplete penetration, weld root erosion, erosion or corrosion in the heat affected zone

In forgings – as welds, with the addition of cold shuts, laps, and seams 

In dielectric components – microwave inspection for voids and inclusions
